개천절(National foundation day of Korea)

National foundation day of Korea

The day the sky first opened,

The blue will bloom

The great spirit of Hongik Ingan spreads across the world

Our people, continuing since ancient times

Walking together as one, carrying Dangun’s dream

When you wave the Taegeukgi in the clear wind of the high mountains

A proud light of Korea shines in every heart

A world built together by helping and loving one another

I vow to do it widely for your benefit, even today

Shining the dawn sun of National foundation day over the Korean Peninsula

The sky of hope will open for our tomorrow as well
