밤은 책이다

 

 

제게 좋은 책이란 너무나 흥미로워 한번 손에 들면 끝까지 독파해버릴 수 있는 책이 아닙니다. 글자들을 읽어 내려가는 일보다 문단과 문단, 문장과 문장, 단어와 단어 사이에서 여백을 발견하는 일이 어쩌면 더 중요한 일일 수도 있으니까요.

A good book for me is so interesting that I can't read it through to the end once I have one. Perhaps it's more important to find a blank space between a paragraph and a paragraph, a sentence and a sentence, a word and a word than to read them down.
