살찐 너구리는 통통 무사했을지 몰라

 

엄마, 저거 먹는 거야?

- 먹을 순 있지만 너구리 엄마가 얼마나 슬프겠니.

 

악어에게 엄마가 곁에 있었다면

어린 누는 무사히 강을 건넜을지 몰라.

 

엄마, 저거 먹는거야?

- 먹을 순 있지만 누 엄마가 얼마나 울겠니.

If the lion had a mother by his side

The fat raccoon might have been chubby

 

Mom, are you eating that?

- I can eat it, but how sad must raccoon mom be.

 

If the crocodile had a mother by his side

Little wildebeest may have crossed the river safely.

 

Mom, are you eating that?

- I can eat it, but how much wildebeest mom will cry.
